“Au coin des Jardins“, a traditional Lorraine farmhouse with tastefully-decorated guest rooms (Gîtes de France, 3 épis) is situated in Pareid – a typical little ribbon-village and proud of its church, which is a classified historic monument – 20 km to the east of Verdun, 45 mins from Metz, 1 hr from Bar-le-Duc, Nancy, Luxemburg and Rheims, Delphine and Romain SORAIN will be delighted to offer you a warm welcome and share the tranquillity of this haven of peace with you.

Activities :

Ayurvedic massage on the premises, a very comprehensive technique for relaxing the muscles, which improves the skin, circulates energy, and helps you to experience the “letting go”, releasing all the stress from your body. 43 km from Pareid, try out the Amnéville relaxing thermal baths, thanks to a package of 3 hours of hydrotherapy (underwater massage), anatomical hydromassage beds, whirlpool seats, geysers, cervical showers, hammam, saunas...). Use Pareid as a base for touring around, exploring the Meuse tourist spots: Verdun, capital of peace and ‘14-‘18 memory, the Côtes de Meuse, land of the mirabelle, which also boasts numerous artisans of local produce, the Etain and Spincourt region, with its traditional factory producing small baby dolls, and the astonishing crèche museum... While enjoying pleasant walks around the village, you’ll marvel at how well the countryside has been preserved.

Specialties :

Around a table whose menus change with the seasons, Delphine SORAIN will share her love of cooking with you. Maybe you’ll have the pleasure of savouring her famous Lorraine hotpot, her chicken with steamed cabbage, her rabbit in Meuse grey wine, and her tart with garden mirabelles. Not to mention her delicious and abundant breakfasts with jams, yoghurts, homemade bread or brioches... A real delight!
