Presentation :

L’AUBERGE DE LA PECHE A LA TRUITE (Logis de France, 1 cheminée) is located in Lacroix-sur-Meuse, in a small valley 1 hr 20 mins from Nancy, 1 hr from Metz, 30 mins from Verdun and 20 mins from the Madine lake. Stretching over 7 hectares of verdant countryside and water, the fishing estate is listed as a sanctuary by the Ligue pour la Protection des Oiseaux (league for the protection of birds). The inn boasts 7 very comfortable rooms.

Activities :

For novices and the initiated, a fishing beat has been developed on a lake and 5 ponds especially for still-water fishing for trout and char. A plus: being able to combine fishing with hiking, mountain-bike riding or horseriding. The amazing trek on the “Vent des Forêts” trail, swimming and pedalos on the Madine lake, the historic sites of Verdun, the Ligier Richier route... For gourmets: an unmissable stop at the Côtes de Meuse producers, visiting the wine cellars and tasting the wine.

Specialties :

Fried troutling, trout rillettes, Lorraine-style trout, and arctic char with the Estate-caught crayfish. The abundant cuisine is prepared mainly from local farmers’ produce.

 1 welcome aperitif.  1 or 2 nights in double room with breakfasts, depending on option chosen.  1 day’s fishing, with tackle and bait supplied.  “Découverte” option: 1 regional lunch and 1 “Auberge” dinner.  ”Escapade” option”: 1 “express dinner” and 1 “Auberge” dinner with “Meuse et Merveilles” produce, loan of binoculars for birdwatching, visit to the pedagogic and pisciculture area, 1 hamper of local produce for 2 people or 1 magnum for 1 person and loan of mountain bike (on demand) or 1 pony trek.
