Finding out about your history, your ancestors

The Département Archives preserve the written memory of the département: 18 kilometres of documents, for the 10th century to the present day, are available to the public for all types of local historical research. Trying to trace your ancestors (genealogy), finding out the history of your house or your village, and many other subjects are some of the reasons for consulting the Archives .

The archive library also has the old newspapers of the département, as well as works of history and local history.

The Meuse Département Archives are at your disposal and you can make a special appointment to call during the week. Training lasting 1-2 hours will be provided, to make your research faster and more effective.
